The starting point for my bridal project was the nostalgic and familiar expression: something old, something new,
something borrowed, something blue.
I chose to take every part of the sentence and give it my point of view. My goal was to emphasize the intimacy and uniqueness that the ceremony had lost over the years. I tried to focus mainly on the everyday shared life that begins within that day rather than the wedding itself. The dress contains many elements from the inspiration boards. The loops in the dress symbolize the ongoing story, the strips embroidery forming two intertwined fingerprints and, the gold threads sloppily connecting them, symbolizing the fragility of marriage.
I wanted my wedding dress to be a kind of agreement between the couple about what their marriage was going to be like.
