In this project, I chose to critique the culture of "The Burning Man." These people how decided to live a different life, to do whatever they want, to wear whatever they like and behave whatever they want. However, they do so in a designated place for a limited time and with a certain payment. For me, it feels like these people want to show that they are cool and carefree when, in practice, they are just another mainstream herd. I chose to compare this "burners" to the mainstream jeans and T-shirt people. I took the denim fabric and knitted it, which is against the nature of the denim fabric. I wanted to say that even though it is knitted denim, it's still the same denim.
